Too tired to do much more than post pictures

We spent our one day in Porto doing errands, trying new foods and visiting the cathedral to get a credencial, a sello and a blessing from Santiago.
We had been to a couple of places to buy hiking poles but no luck, and on the way to the cathedral, we managed to spy a wee sporting store and bingo! Each pole was 11€, so I got two and Les got one. They are saving my knees. Knowing I was going to be carrying 10lbs on my back, for the sake of my knees, I had thought about perhaps losing ten body pounds, but with all the French cheese, wine and pastries, that did not appear to be an option. So poles it is!
Our first day on the camino, we took the metro out of downtown Porto and then stopped at a cafĂ© for breakfast. By this time it was 9am and we had been up since 7.  It was the best coffee, Portugese bun, homemade jam and butter you could find. And then the owner brought over some cake that was something made specifically for Easter. What a great start.
We walked on alot of cobblestone roads either through towns or alongside farms. Hard on the feet and legs but lovely.
I asked Les to stand near the second yellow arrow. He laughed as the "second yellow arrow" was broom. The Scots have a lot to answer for by taking this bush around the world.
Below is the bridge over to Barcelos that had a most welcoming pilgrim help office. Free water, apples, pears and very cheerful people.
We had another 10km to go and finally made it to Portelo to THE VERY BEST ALBERGUE EVER. The Hospitalero was so welcoming, even carried my bag up to the room.
We've now rested, showered and changed and had dinner.
After a bowl of soup, I enjoyed the grilled fish and Les had the steak and eggs plate. The steak is under the egg.
Total for dinner including beer, wine and dessert......20€
Off to bed now.
