Traveling again....separately this time.

Les has just returned from a lovely visit to the UK, to visit his sister and her family and spend some hiking and meditative time in their caravan in North Wales.
A sunset view, steps from the caravan, and below are the views he had within less than an hour from the front door.
Lots of walking, reading and relaxing. And he was also able to attend his nephew's graduation from college.
Meanwhile, I've been very Camino involved, conducting, with my compañero Tom, from London, a couple of Hospitalero training sessions. The first was in Winnipeg in mid October and the second in Victoria the following weekend. We had terrific people attending and now there are about 40 more Canadians who are prepared to return to Spain to volunteer in the hostels (albergues) there, to welcome pilgrims on the Camino de Santiago. And today I participated in a Camino 101 session offered to those people who would like to go on the Camino and would like to learn about what to take, how much it will cost, etc. etc. Sixty people attended and we felt it was a great success.
I have a meeting to attend in Santiago de Compostela on December 5th, so I've decided to walk there. I'm packed and ready to catch a flight tomorrow to Paris/Madrid. I have no idea how chaotic the airport in Paris will be and in fact whether I will make my connection for Madrid from the Orly airport, but the worst that could happened is that I arrive in Madrid later than planned and miss the train to Sahagún, a town on the Camino Francés. A minor disruption for me in the face of the tragedy with which Paris is coping.
So, I'm leaving my pearls at home, packing on my pack back and will continue this blog from España.
