Finally, walking....

There's nothing like putting a Canadian to the test by putting her in a large unheated room for the night, especially one who is not sure which way is up, due to jet lag. I slept on and off using every blanket I could find. Actually, I was quite cozy and likely the only one that snored. I left the albergue around 8:30 looking for breakfast.
All I found in the bar across the way was bottled juice for 1.50€. I then set out to find the post office and actual food. Knowing I had overshot the post office, I stopped at another bar and asked for a café con leche and directions and this is what I got for 1€. The shot glass had orange juice in it.
So I finally found the post office and sent stuff off to Santiago. Along with directions for the post office came directions for an electrical store to get a plug adaptor. The one I had grabbed from home was broken so it is being recycled.
And then I headed out of town walking east to Moratinos. Within the first 30 minutes I met 3 single pilgrims, the first two from Japan and the third one moving too fast to talk. But, I got to use my very little Japanese and the one man had walked the Ohenro on Shikoku twice! He said I must finish (I've only done the first 23 of 88 temples.)
So these are some of the views I enjoyed today, as well as a selfie/reflection.

The first bridge, of many, I'm sure. This one at the Virgen del Puente, pictured below.

Looking towards Sahagún. As you can see, the weather was overcast and cold. I wore everything!
And finally after 11 km, food: my favourite. Tortilla español and the onions were caramalized. Delicious!
I'm now with Rebekah and Paddy at the Peaceable Kingdom in Moratinos, napped, washed and ready for dinner out. Rebekah writes a blog. "Big fun in a tiny pueblo", if you are curious about what it is like living on the Camino in a tiny Spanish village.
