Into countdown mode

We are the luckiest people in the world. Had dinner with Stefan, Hannah and the boys and then returned to our new digs to enjoy this view. Thanks so much Ted and Irene.

Tomorrow we take the kids to the airport for their big European adventure and then we carry on to Pender for a wedding. What fun!

Getting ready to go

We have emptied drawers and closets, cleaned kitchen cupboards, made four trips with car fully loaded, to the church sale, three trips to WIN, three trips to the Salvation Army and continue to find other stuff to pack and/or give away. We have rented the house to a nice family, effective August 25 and we leave Victoria for Iceland on September 15..... homeless for three weeks, except that we have friends and neighbours who have generously offered to put up with us and also two weddings to attend, so weekends away on the Gulf Islands. I'm reading books in French (not well), listening to News in Slow French, and still the Spanish comes out first.
